Covid-19 vaccine registration to open at 4 pm for all adults: Here's how to register

 Indian adults can register themselves using the CoWIN platform or the Arogya Setu App starting at 4 pm today. Read on to learn how to register.

Everyone over the age of 18 can register for vaccination against Covid-19 using the Covid Manch or Arogya Setu App starting at 4 pm today. All Indian adults will be eligible to receive the Kovid-19 vaccine starting May 1, so you can begin registration in the afternoon.

There are currently two Covid vaccines in India, including Covaxin developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech and Covid developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca and manufactured by Quorum Institute of India. Sputnik V which was developed in Russia and Drs. Imported and sold in India by Reddy's laboratories - has also been approved by the Food Regulator of India.

The second wave of Covid-19 has given a tough competition to India with a record increase in COVID-19 cases, surpassing the previous year's worst level. Here's how users can register themselves for a vaccine using the CoWIN portal and the Aarogya Setu app.

How to register through the CoWIN portal

1. Go to the CoWIN website and click Register / Sign by yourself.

2. Add your mobile number and click on Get OTP. After receiving the OTP, type the digits on the site, and click 'Verify'.

3. On the Register Proof Register for Vaccination 'page, enter all your details including photo ID proof, name, gender and year of birth. Once this is done, hit the register.

4. After registering, you will get the option to schedule an appointment. Click on 'Schedule' next to the name of the registered person.

5. Add your PIN code and click search. Centers will appear in additional PIN codes.

6. Choose the date and time and click 'Confirm'. 

How to register through Arogya Setu App

1. Open the Aarogya Setu app and click on on the CoWIN tab on the house screen.

2. Select 'Immunization Registration' and then enter your phone number. You will receive an OTP then you'll proceed to verify yourself.

3. On the 'Register for Immunization' page, enter all the details including photo ID proof, name, gender and year of birth. Click on 'Register'.

4. After registering, you will get the option to schedule an appointment. Click on the schedule next to the name of the registered person.

5. Add your PIN code and click search. Centers will appear in additional PIN codes.

6. Choose the date and time and click 'Confirm'.
